How the System Works

Scroll down the screen and read each statement until you come to the one that make sense.

(1) facts, they know
a context       the information

(2) When learners acquire isolated facts,
the isolated facts,      has no practical
use.
The learner must have        the whole picture.

(3) When learners acquire isolated facts, they know and do not know at the same time. Without a context for the isolated facts, the information has no practical use. No educational system can be effective if the learner is acquiring isolated facts. The learner must have a sense of how the isolated facts fit into the whole picture.

Statement #2, starts to make sense even though part of the text is missing. There is enough information that you are able to decipher what the writer is trying to communicate.

Statement #1 is like memorizing a verse from a chapter. To know the verse and not know its connection to the whole chapter or the whole book is to misinterpret the meaning and message of the verse.

Traditionally, we have learned a verse or verses, but the flaw with that approach is one learns an isolated verse. The meaning of the isolated verse is unclear due to not knowing the context.

"A Wonderful System" is a paradigm shift in thinking about learning scripture.

"A Wonderful System" uses Whole Book Approach as opposed to single verses.

Why Whole Book?

This whole book approach provides enough information to have a sense of what the writer is saying. Additionally, selected verses serve as the Image Link providing visual chapter bookmarks for the entire book.

Here is the Gospel of Mark.

Gospel of MarkThe sixteen chapters of Mark are represented by Chapter Link Images. Each image flows directly from the chapter. With this method, information is stored as a picture in an orderly manner and easy to recall. This method allows you to see a whole book at a glance, which aids understanding.
